I grew up in central Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale for my bachelor’s degree in Zoology. While at SIUC, I got my first veterinary job working at a 24-hour hybrid general practice/emergency animal hospital as an assistant and became interested in emergency medicine and the variety of cases you can see. After graduating, I worked in a general practice near my hometown in Illinois as a technician for a year. During my year off, I also traveled to Ecuador to volunteer at a free spay/neuter clinic in communities around Ambato, Ecuador. I then attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and earned my DVM in 2022. I felt like I needed a change after living in Illinois all my life, which brought me to ASC. In my free time, I like traveling, reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends, family, and my two cats, Cole and Pippen.
