Dr. Baron is a skilled veterinary surgeon and proud Fairfield County native. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University, graduating summa cum laude. After completing a rotating internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City, she pursued a surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a surgery residency at Tufts University.
Dr. Baron started her career as a staff surgeon at Animal Specialty in Yonkers, later establishing a new surgical department at a specialty practice in Fairfield County, Connecticut. She is now returning to the Animal Specialty Center, where she is excited to offer her surgical expertise and her collaborative approach to patient care.
With extensive experience in a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, Dr. Baron has a special interest in minimally invasive techniques, including arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy, as well as brachycephalic airway surgery and complex oncologic surgery. Dedicated to providing outstanding veterinary care, Dr. Baron collaborates closely with referring veterinarians and other specialists, ensuring that pet owners receive comprehensive treatment options to make informed choices for their beloved companions.
